Mel's Keys

Carnival Update
As you can see from our stall set-up, we had been furiously churning out new designs the two weeks before the event. Our table was just overflowing with trinkets. We couldn't even display all that we had.
Very new to our collection is the Petite Princess range for little girls. This range is full sugar and spice and everything nice cos that's what little girls are made of.
And yup, we've many new designs which we can't wait to upload onto our main website. Sorry to keep you ladies waiting. So many of you have been asking for our new designs. Well, the thing is, we Fluff designers love making the jewellery but when it comes to photography and uploading and HTML.. well, we kinda prefer to leave those things to the experts and the process invariably takes time. But yeah, soon alright?;)
All in all, it was a rather quiet afternoon at the Carnival. The highlight of the day must have been the free Ben & Jerry's icecream. The Soursop flavour was really yummy and refreshing by the way.
Anyways, just wanna say a big thank you to our friends who came down to say hi. Yes, that's you Connie, Gary, Evelyn, Deepa and Shanti. We truly appreciate you for taking the time to pop by on a lazy Sunday.

Carnival @ Chijmes
There will be a Flea Market featuring local artists, designers and entrepreneurs, of which we are part of :) And, of course, there will be entertainment: Concert @ Chijmes will feature home-grown bands, such as Wishing for Amadale, Deputy Siren, Ivy's Vendetta and PeepShow, and professional buskers. The event is being held in aid of the Bone Marrow Donor Programme.
More details are available at the event's official website http://www.buskersfestival2007.com/carnival.html
Wouldn't it be a great idea to come on down for brunch/lunch/tea/coffee/dinner with your pals/family and soak in the festivities of the Carnival @ Chijmes? Take a break from the Great Singapore Sale and spend Sunday just chilling out to good music, good food and, of course, great company.
So we'll see you on Sunday then! =)

The Missing Link
Pink fever
This is a long overdue post on Parts 2 and 3 of Nikki's customised wedding jewellery range which was completed the previous week. This beautiful pair of silver-pink earrings on the right -- made with sweet Japanese Tensha beads and glittery Swarovski crystals -- is Blushing Nikki, inspired by none other than Blushing Rose on our website (under the Glam & Gorgeous category).
The matching black quartz-pink Swarovski crystal choker is an elegant piece specially designed to match the lovely bride's evening gown which is a sexy black-lace-on-pink-satin number. We love a bride who dares to wear accessories stamped with her own style and character rather than simply stick with safe but staid diamond jewellery.

Blissfully busy
Versailles - A little something to reflect the opulence of the French palace.
My Fair Lady - A dainty number to bring out the little princess in you.
Serenity - A pretty swallow soars amid lovely hues of brown and greyish-blues (this photo doesn't quite do justice to the lovely colours of the crystals)
For purchase details, drop us a line at shop@lovefluff.com or watch out for us at the next Maad. While stocks last, of course. :)

Maad Weekend

Fluff made its virgin appearance at the Maad festival last weekend and it was simply HOT HOT HOT! Literally! Thank goodness for the complimentary ice cold beer from Erdinger! We wanna say a big THANK YOU to all of you who came down to support us. We had such a great time hanging out and meeting some really cool people. We love the "designer/artist" atmosphere so much that we'll definitely be back for June Maad, so watch out for our e-mail invite! =)
Pssst! We'll also be selling our stuff at a charity event in June. We'll let you know once the details are confirmed. But be rest assured it'll be in a happening part of town. We just can't wait!
Till then, we continue to diligently churn out new designs...plus we're working on a very exciting project - customised wedding jewellery for Nikki! =)
[We made some lovely new designs for May Maad that we may upload here since we don't have time to update www.lovefluff.com just yet....so watch this space!]

The unbearable lightness of being
I also had an infra-red hair treatment done. For that, I had to take off all the metal I was wearing on the top half of my body - including my diamond ring and Tag Heur! - and put them into a small glass container! I made sure that box didn't leave my sight, not even when I had my hair washed at the basins -craned my neck to make sure my assets were safe.
The result of the haircut and treatment is, my head feels so much lighter. It's been a long time since I could swing my head and feel my hair bounce.
Something else was light and bouncy today. My earrings. :) Autumn Snowflake, to be precise. It was my first time wearing this pair and I was surprised to realise how light it is. I had to touch my eyelobes several times today to check that my earrings were still there!

In His Time
something that reflects my style and mood for the day. It feels even greater when someone appreciates it. Like today, I was wearing a rose pink version of Summer's Day.
It's a lacey, floral number to match my lacey top and off I went to work and then to Elaine's birthday party at East Coast. Guess what? Elaine saw my lacey danglies and fell in love with them instantly. She liked them more than the glamourous pair of Czech bead earrings I made her. :P I guess I can't please everyone.
Lest you think I'm alone in accessories passion, I'm not. My sister Rosie and our good friend Estella are just as crazy over accessories. One fine day in September 2006, we decided to channel our passion for fashion into a business. And so Fluff was born.
Check out our creations at http://www.lovefluff.com/
It feels good to be able to do something we adore with people we love. The path hasn't been all that smooth so far. Starting this business has cost us some friendships because of some misunderstanding and miscommunication. I believe I speak for my partners when I say we just want to put the unhappiness behind us and let our experience make us stronger. We are trusting God to be our Judge and our Vindicator. He makes all things beautiful in His time.
Rose and Estella, I'm creating this blog for us to document our journey as we embark on our venture together. To God be the glory.
