Going Maad II: Photos

Rhoda & Rosie

The star of December Maad: Oriental Fan necklace.
This piece that hadn't even been named sold out at the fair.

Going Maad

December Maad was a blast! It was a full house - in terms of both stalls and shoppers - and there was a strong festive buzz in the air. The best part was, we the Fluff designers got to do quite a fair bit of Christmas shopping ourselves, thanks to our neighbours Luvdolls65 who graciously helped us man the stall while we disappeared to satisfy the shopaholic in us. :P

Designers we heart:
- Amy Woo: A lovely animal lover who makes the prettiest ceramic pots, bowls, ringholders, mugs, wind chimes. And if you're really lucky, some of them come with her trademark bunnies perched on them. Really nice!
- Alice K: We met this gregarious lady at the Singapore River Bazaar and were thrilled to catch up with her at Maad. She's a wonderful designer and seamstress. Her current range of smocked baby doll tops in kimono fabric are simply hot! Just as girly are her clutch bags! We couldn't help getting a whole lot customised for our girlfriends as Christmas pressies. It's the perfect gift for a babe!
- Bridget Rose of Goblin Market: We almost overlooked her stall which was in the dark-dark area in front of the information counter. But thank God we caught a glimpse of this shiny blue pinafore hanging from the ceiling and moved in for a closer look. That particular piece didn't fit us but we ended up trying a whole lot of other stuff (tops, dresses, scarves) and totally busted our budget for the weekend. Bridget is such a talented designer and artist. What we love about her style is it's edgy yet feminine. Her clothes are funky yet very wearable and still somewhat girlish without being sweet. We soooooo heart Bridget! *swoooon*
- Knotty Bicsie: Betsy's bangle wristlets are simply adorable! We bought up the last ones she had on Saturday intending to give them away as gifts but couldn't resist keeping them for ourselves. Looking at her cool stuff makes us wanna take up knitting ourselves!

Fluff is going to MAAD

Fluff will be setting up shop at the MAAD (Market of Artist & Designers) fair this weekend, Dec 1 and 2 (Saturday and Sunday). Do drop by and do your Christmas shopping early!
Place: red dot Traffic @ 28 Maxwell Road, a stone's throw away from the Tanjong Pagar MRT Station

We're heading to Maad again tomorrow and Sunday. This week's theme is S.A.L.E! Yup, it's that time of the month and that time of the year again! Hope to see some of you there over the weekend.

Check out the happening happenings: http://www.maad.sg/edm/edm_maadjun07.htm

Oh and our participation in a charity fair on June 17 has been confirmed. More on the place and time in a while. In the mean time, back to rushing out more designs for Maad. See you at the Red Dot Museum. Cheerios!

Maad Weekend

Fluff made its virgin appearance at the Maad festival last weekend and it was simply HOT HOT HOT! Literally! Thank goodness for the complimentary ice cold beer from Erdinger! We wanna say a big THANK YOU to all of you who came down to support us. We had such a great time hanging out and meeting some really cool people. We love the "designer/artist" atmosphere so much that we'll definitely be back for June Maad, so watch out for our e-mail invite! =)

Pssst! We'll also be selling our stuff at a charity event in June. We'll let you know once the details are confirmed. But be rest assured it'll be in a happening part of town. We just can't wait!

Till then, we continue to diligently churn out new designs...plus we're working on a very exciting project - customised wedding jewellery for Nikki! =)

[We made some lovely new designs for May Maad that we may upload here since we don't have time to update www.lovefluff.com just yet....so watch this space!]
